Ice remains 24–28 inches on Great Sacandaga Lake, with improving sled conditions and some slush forming in spots. March is shaping up to be prime time for ice fishing and riding.

Good morning, I just got back from checking out the lake. The wind Wednesday night and Thursday really tore up the ice. It opened up the shoreline at the end of Lakeside drive down to Lanzi’s, and bunker hill in spots.
