Lake Report March 7th, 2024

Other than trout the fishing season closes on the lake March 15th. The ice is off already, and the water is at summer levels.

Lake Report March 1st, 2024

Good morning, I just got back from checking out the lake. The wind Wednesday night and Thursday really tore up the ice. It opened up the shoreline at the end of Lakeside drive down to Lanzi’s, and bunker hill in spots.

Lake Report February 28th, 2024

Good morning, everyone. I am going to try to keep this as short as I can and get my point across. The Fuel-n-Food 3-day Ice Fishing Tournament is on in its entirety this weekend.

Lake Report February 17th, 2024

Good morning, everyone, my report is a day late because I wanted to check the lake out on my sled, and as usual I stayed out way too late. Since last week the lake has made an inch of ice

Lake Report February 8th, 2024

Even with the really cold weekend that followed the last report it didn’t make much ice. With the really cold nights this past week and no snow cover, To my amazement, there is about 2 more inches of ice I was out yesterday on my snowmobile, and saw enough bad spots to make this decision. The issue is not that there isn't good ice. It's Between 11'' and 7.5'' thick where there is ice. There is a perfect amount of snow on it too about 3'' and no slush.

Happy Wednesday! It's hard to believe our first week of February is behind us. What a difference a week makes in the ice though.

January 25, 2023 – Lake Report

Good morning, happy Wednesday its starting to look a little more like winter out there. As far as the Lake is concerned, not a lot has changed since last week.

January 18, 2023 – Lake Report

Also I know with the 3-5 inches of snow coming people will be itching to get out there. If you do decide to ride (WHICH I DO NOT RECOMMEND) where a wetsuit, and be off by dark.

March 4, 2022 – Lake Report

The lake is the best conditions conditions for snowmobile's I have seen all season there is just the right amount of snow to give you traction. Yet not too much as to get really bumpy and slushy. It's still a little choppy going from Bachelorville  North.

March 1, 2022 – Lake Report

The fuel-n-food 3 day contest this weekend is on. Between the cold weather this past weekend, and yet to come the lake has set back up. Still be aware, as always there may be bad spots. So fish on and we will see everyone this weekend.

February 25th, 2022 – Lake Report

This is as of Friday afternoon. There is still 18'' of ice on the lake, the problem is the water level is up 4 feet since last Friday. Between all the rain and snow melt the HRBRRD has had the Concklingville dam closed. What this has done is made the shorelines bad and opened up all the ice ridges. I will keep it short because there's not much change in the ice thickness, still 20". The only big change is there is no more snow on the lake or slush, as of 3 o'clock Friday. The biggest change since my last lake report is that the water level is down just a little over 4 feet. This has caused a lot of the natural features such as rocks, stumps, and islands to poke up through the ice.
